Delivery, installation and integration of DALET for Radio Tele Malaysia

Principal contractor PIK Malaysia awarded Thum+Mahr a contract for delivery, installation and integration of three independent DALET systems for RTM (Radio Tele Malaysia) in September 2002.

All three stations received dual server systems for database and file storage. To achieve high availability Thum + Mahr installed the server systems with Compaq's RSO Disaster Recovery System. A total of 51 workstations interconnect in the system on the three installation sites.

The clients of the DALET system were installed as standard DALET 5.1 application packages. Additional applications were:

Integration of third party music scheduling software

Arclite for audio archiving

Newsdepot with Thum+Mahr IDOL-gateway for automatic recording of call ins

MultiBaseBrowser for WAN interconnection of the three sites

Airtrack for on air logging

All sites are equipped with DALET hardware-controllers. Audio interfaces of the workstations for record and playback are Digigram PCX boards. User and administrator training courses on site were performed by T+M personnel.
