Digital audio mixing console for radio and TV broadcast
The DHD RM4200 is an extremely flexible, though costeffective digital broadcast mixing console. The console is well approved by international broadcasters who rely on the DHD technology for many years. The console design splits between the control surface (user interface) and by the actual DSP frames. All the audio processing and audio I/O interconnection is on the DSP crate. Both, the control surface and the DSP crate are designed as fully modular systems and the large number of different modules offers extended flexibility for different usage.
An impressive list of features describe the console at a glance:
- up to 192 inputs, mixable between several formats
- Line Level digital (AES3/EBU/SPDIF) or analog
- MIC inputs (analog)
- Headphone outputs (analog)
- 12 MADI ports on fibre (64 I/O channels each)
- fully modular system design
- powerful configuration software (Windows), but not needed for operation
- configuration data stored in console's Flash-EPROM
- all cards and modules hot fix/hot plugable
- all digital inputs fitted with asynchronous SRC
- 48 stereo busses and aux sends, digital and analog
- up to 30 mix-minus busses
- 6 independent stereo monitor paths and PFL
- talkback, mix-minus, signalisation, controlling options
- console design from 4 to 40 faders
- P&G faders (motorized faders available as option)
- required depth for installation of modules only 72 mm
- CAN bus for communication between all modules and DSP
- robust LED Lumitas buttons throughout
- DSP functions: transient limiter, equalizer, compressor, expander, noise gate, limiter, subsonic filter, deesser, mix minus matrix
- optional bulit in microphone processing
- storage of user-specific configurations
- low power consumption (approx. 80W only, depending on size)
- space-saving and light-weight construction (good for OB vans)
- extensive remot management system for monitoring all cards and power supply units
- continous monitoring of PSU voltages
- redundant power supply units
- incredible power on time of one second only
- Ethernet interface with TCP/IP included
DSP crates are 1" and 3 or 6 units high, depending on layout. All connectors are RJ45. If required they can be connected to XLR break out panels via standard CAT5 cables. Full redundancy available for power supplies.
The user interface is modular, physical dimension depends on number and type of modules. Please refer to drawings shwon with module description. Control surface does not carry any audio and interconnects by CAN bus for communication and power.
