Articulated microphone suspensions are the best solution for any desk or table application where a good, solid mounting with optimum positioning flexibility is required. In particular, presenters’ desks and self-op studios require durable and reliable suspensions for secure microphone mounting. The YELLOWTEC arms satisfy this need particularly well through their secure and noiseless construction, and their ability to support heavy microphones up to 2Kg.

Product Brief:

The arm is constructed with a hollow section for maximum stability. The load bearing capacity can be adjusted by the support springs to suit exactly the microphone attached. The springs are fitted with a special absorption material that eliminates the normally problematic “echo effect” accompanying movement of the arm. Such is the stability and damping of YELLOWTEC suspensions that adjustment can be made to the microphone position even with the fader open. The suspensions are also delivered prewired with XLR connectors. The cables are hidden inside the hollow section resulting in a neat and tidy appearance.

Two models are produced to meet your individual requirements. Model 31 is the standard model, and Model 45 has longer articulated arms.

On request we can also provide up rated springs as an accessory to suit particularly heavy microphones so that, for example, there are no problems using older, heavy valve microphones.

The arms are finished in matt black allowing them to blend in superbly with your studio surrounds. The low reflection surface also helps when used in television surroundings.

These arms are the result of many years of experience, and are in use in almost every radio station throughout the world. Please remember that you also need further accessories to fix the arms to your furniture surrounds.
