2001-12-03 DW receives extended support for relocation of their IT systems

T+M signs to be in charge of Europe's biggest radio broadcasting project when it comes to the move and reinstallation of DW's IT environment.

The relocation of Deutsche Welle is one of the largest broadcast projects in Germany in these days. In order to allow for a smooth and efficient move of the IT environment Thum + Mahr was contracted for the move of the audio workstations and the audio servers. The project included a complete stock check and after that the installation of a special automatic inventory procedure. For this reason a special software was developed in order to automatise collection of installed IT stock data. T+M also commissioned the IT components at the new location.

A total of 120 audio workstations was moved from Cologne to Bonn, in addition 88 new on air workstations had to be delivered and installed on the new site.
