Overview

Thum + Mahr has positioned itself as one of the leading system houses in the European and international broadcast market, with a clear focus on the key areas of IT solutions, multimedia broadcast design, and classical studio system building. Based in Germany, we are well located for the whole European market. The company now employs more than 50 people and is clearly growth oriented.

History

Joint managing directors Peter Thum and Hanno Mahr founded the company in 1976. Starting out with just two employees, success in the early years was based purely on audio equipment sales. The strategic change of direction to become a system house followed almost exactly 10 years later. Consolidation in the following years resulted in the company developing into one of the foremost players in the market.

Goals

Thum + Mahr aims to become the largest German system house in the radio sector by the year 2013, as well as being one of the leading system integrators in Europe. We have good reasons to believe that we will achieve this goal. The ever-increasing complexities of challenges presented by our customers provide a real motivation to succeed.
