The caravan moves on ...
…to India, twice in quick succession: Two years after NDR received a small regional facility in Delhi from T+M, a contact has now been let by the BBC for a full-blown broadcast complex.
For its Overseas Office in Delhi, the BBC World Service has ordered a total of 4 cubicles, 2 speech studios, 4 Workshop studios and a central routing system. The complete heart of the system is built using DHD components. All the cubicles are fitted with DHD series 4200 mixing consoles, and the Workshops are equipped with Jünger Mix4 Desktop Mixers. The central real-time networking uses redundant configured 780/780 routers, also from the DHD 4200 series.
The Mix4 units are also connected to the routers via the network. In addition to the complex configuration project for the DHD technology, T+M is also responsible for the integration of various ISDN codecs, a Broadcast Bionics PhoneBOX call management system, and the linking of the red light remote control back to London.
Project Managers Ross Kemp und Adam Heath are banking on the dependable support of T+M, and will be happy that they can return to London before the onset of the Indian hot season…
